Gordon Greens Mobile Market

Gordon Neighbourhood House is excited to be creating a bike-powered mobile produce market which will bring fresh, nutritious and affordable produce to the West End community. This market will take place on Thursdays from 10am to 12pm.

Our first market was held on July 27 at Nicholson Towers and we had some delicious cherries! Our last market will take place on Oct 5 at Gordon Neighbourhood House.

Urban Farming

Gordon Neighbourhood House operates a few local urban farms. They are as diverse as the people they engage-heads of lettuce bloom next to herbs, brassicas and carrots. Its primary function is to produce nutrient dense produce, which is then harvested and used to create healthy meals for the Community Lunch Program, as well as for use in various other programs and initiatives. We are always looking for additional space and volunteers if you have any ideas, contact Joey.
