Produce Market Volunteers
We are looking for volunteers to assist our staff farmer to operate a low cost produce market at Gordon House on Friday mornings during the Food Hub. Details/Apply
West End Family Place Volunteers
A program for children under 5 years old and their parents/caregivers that features a variety of activities that promote healthy child development such as circle time with songs and stories, free play, arts and crafts, and parenting. Details/Apply
Community Lunch Volunteers
Everyone is invited to lunch at Gordon Neighbourhood House. Community Lunches are an opportunity for community members to enjoy a meal together, meet new people, and catch up with friends in a casual environment. Details/Apply
Chop n’ Chat Volunteers
Chop n’ Chat is a weekly Thursday social where a group of volunteers get together to hang out and prepare tasty dishes which will then be served at the Friday Food Hub the following day. This program runs from 3-6pm and is led by our very own Gordon House chef. Details/Apply
Community Advisory Board
Are you interested in developing a strategic plan for Gordon Neighbourhood House? Working with GNH to provide leadership in the local community? Ensuring that the direction of GNH is in keeping with current and future needs in Vancouver’s West End? Details/Apply
Attic Thrift Store Team Member
We are looking for an outgoing volunteer who is available for a regular (weekly) shift(s) helping out in the Attic Thrift Store at Gordon Neighbourhood House. It’s a great opportunity to meet people, gain some valuable communication and customer service skills! Details/Apply
Outreach and Awareness Volunteer
Gordon Neighbourhood House coordinates many programs and initiatives in the West End. We need help promoting our organization in the community. Details/Apply
Young Ideas Team
The YI Initiative is a group of volunteers who organize events, activities and workshops focused on facilitating opportunities for connection of those in our community that are between the ages of 20 and 39. Young Ideas have hosted soccer at the beach meet-ups, a 90s hip-hop themed pop-up pub and drag queen bingo. The Young ideas program continues to gain momentum as the number of participants increase with each event and activity. Details/Apply
