Everyone must register to vote in the federal election. You can register online, by mail, at an Elections Canada office, or at your assigned polling station on election day.
Most Canadians are already registered to vote. To check if you’re registered or to register, use the Online Voter Registration Service or call us at 1-800-463-6868.
Why Register Before the Election?
Registering in advance makes the voting process easier. By registering ahead of time, election staff will know your information is up to date, and can quickly direct you to the correct table at the polling station.
How to Register Before You Vote
1. Use the Online Voter Registration Service by Tuesday, September 14, 6:00 p.m.
2. Visit any Elections Canada office by Tuesday, September 14, 6:00 p.m. The Vancouver Centre Elections Canada office is located at 747 Cardero Street (on the south west corner of Cardero Street and Alberni Street).
3. If you register in advance, you should get a voter information card in the mail by September 10. It tells you where and when you can vote.
