Gordon Neighbourhood House is proud to host a vital series of harm reduction and Naloxone workshops aimed at enhancing community safety and well-being. Facilitated by Health Initiative for Men (checkhimout.ca), these workshops provide essential training on how to respond to opioid overdoses using Naloxone—a life-saving medication that can reverse the effects of an overdose. The training is not just about learning a skill; it’s about contributing to the safety of our neighborhood and showing care for the people around us.

The workshops also present an opportunity to delve into the history of drugs and harm reduction in Vancouver, offering a broader understanding of the issues that affect our community. By attending, participants can help combat the overdose crisis, a preventable tragedy that continues to impact lives. Everyone who completes the workshop will receive a free Naloxone kit, equipping them with the tools to potentially save a life.

Taking place at Gordon Neighbourhood House in the heart of the West End, this event is designed to be accessible and welcoming to all. The building is fully accessible, with accommodations for mobility devices, service animals, and gender-neutral washrooms. With a capacity of 25 people, these intimate workshops allow for meaningful conversations and personalized learning experiences.
