COVID-19 Update
In response to public health recommendations, we made the difficult but necessary decision to temporarily close Gordon Neighbourhood House and both Attic Thrift Stores. During this time all public programming has been postponed.

Over the past week staff have reached out to over 160 members and volunteers to check in and get a sense of the emerging needs in our community. The information gathered during these phone calls will inform how we adapt our programming during these times of crisis and also how we advocate for further community resources.

If you have suggestions that you think may be helpful please call (604) 683-2554 and leave a message, or email us For more information follow us on social media for updates, or read the latest organizational news on our blog,

If you are a socially isolated person who needs assistance with groceries and medication please call 211 where a member of the BC211 team will assist you.

Gordon Neighbourhood House has served as a community hub in Vancouver’s West End since 1942.

We have a history of working alongside our friends and neighbours to facilitate connection, engagement and collaboration, while seizing opportunities for community development.

We work alongside community and sister organizations to offer programs that reflect the needs of our diverse community.

Children are regarded as a flower that needs nourishment, love and care. Think of our children as a garden, they need a place to show their beauty and pride.
