Settlement Services

Settlement refers to the process through which newcomers settle, adapt, integrate, and fully participate in their new community. It is a long process involving short-term and long-term goals for individuals, families, and communities.

It is also a two-way process, with the settlement worker facilitating and encouraging positive change in the participant’s settlement plan.
