Gordon Neighbourhood House started in 1942 as a much-needed community space where neighbours could connect, address neighbourhood issues, and find place-based solutions to neighbourhood challenges.

Neighbourhood houses are important community hubs, offering everything from childcare, counselling, food access, settlement workers, to seniors programs. We walk with our community through every chapter of life. For over 80 years we have provided an important space where individuals from diverse backgrounds (particularly newcomers, isolated seniors, equity-deserving communities, single parents, and low-income families) can access essential services, educational opportunities, and mutual social support.

We all have a role to play in making our neighbourhood stronger, and together with your support we can do even more! As a non-profit organization, we rely on the support of passionate neighbours, dedicated volunteers, big-hearted businesses, generous corporate donors, like-minded partners, and progressive public funders.
