Community Mental Health
At Gordon Neighbourhood House, we are dedicated to cultivating wellness and meaningful connection within our dynamic community. We actively honour and celebrate the diverse identities, cultures, abilities, and lived experiences of all community members, recognizing the unique strengths, knowledge, and skills each person contributes to our shared community life.
We offer a range of wellness-focused opportunities, from yoga, smudging, and meditation to peer support groups and supportive circles; creating spaces where people can gather, share, and learn from one another. Through these programs, we strive to cultivate resilience, belonging, and empowerment, ensuring that every community member feels valued, heard, and supported in their journey toward wellbeing.

How to Enroll
You can apply by filling out a confidential online form, or paper form at the Gordon Neighbourhood House front desk. When you apply, we’ll ask you for your contact information, date of birth, reason for requesting counselling, availability, accessibility needs, emergency contact information, and your preference for in-person or virtual sessions.
After you submit your registration form, your information will be added to a confidential waitlist. An Adler counselling student will contact you within two weeks for a phone assessment. Please expect a call from an “unknown caller.” If they can’t reach you, they will leave a voicemail. If multiple attempts are unsuccessful, they will move on to the next person on the waitlist. Following the assessment, you’ll receive an estimated wait time to be matched with a counsellor, depending on availability.
